After the usual publishers’ parade in early June, your next video game rendezvous might be in Belgium! In Liège, fans of hip-hop and video games should enjoy the Les Ardentes festival.
Festival Les Ardentes in Belgium: a meeting point for rap and hip-hop lovers
Belgium is definitely the country where all music lovers can spend the beginning of summer. Ahead of the Dours Festival (July 12-16), lovers of outdoor concerts can check out the festival The Burn. It will take place in Liège from July 6th to 7th and welcomes many internationally renowned artists. Booba, DJ Snake, Kaaris, Kendrick Lamar… There are even Fresh la Peufrathe winner of the second season of New school : a Netflix series, comparable to the show Star Academy / Nouvelle Star, in which aspiring rappers compete on stage.

Les Ardentes Festival: the gaming area
In addition to a number of artists broadcasting the festivals over four days The Burn houses an area dedicated to video games gaming zone of 1800 square meters. In connection with the festival, a Just Dance room will be created in which the participants will have to work together to score as many points as possible. Racing game enthusiasts can show their talent in a Forza Horizon 5 dedicated area with 5 racing seats. As far as thrills go, there will also be a death course on Fortnite.
But that’s not all ! Competitions will enrich the festival, including an eSports competition on Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon 3. A retro/arcade zone with old-generation consoles and arcade terminals is also planned, an initiative.The aim is to promote the skills acquired through gaming when looking for jobs for digital profiles“.
