Hitman 3 has turned out to be an absolute success within a very short time and has given the developer rosy numbers. So it’s hardly surprising that DLC will follow.
Hitman 3 has proven to be an absolutely worthy conclusion to the reboot trilogy about the assassin. But the conclusion of the trilogy with the main game does not mean at the same time that Hitman is now completely over and IO Interactive is only dedicated to the James Bond title Project 007. It has now been confirmed that there will definitely still be DLC for Hitman 3.
In conversation with TheGamer the developer in the person of Executive Producer Forest Swartout Large said: “We will definitely do some more DLC, but we haven’t specified exactly what it will be. For now, I assume that it is will not be about new cards like the bank or the island. “
So while you at least have to do without new maps, something should definitely happen in the places that are already available: “We’re more likely to take up the existing places and redesign them. This time we can use the complete trilogy. So we can have a look throw back on the maps of Hitman from 2016 or Hitman 2 – we have all of these locations to choose from. “
Hitman 3 was released on January 20, 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and sold so well that IO Interactive has already recovered all development costs and is in the profit zone.
