What IO Interactive outlines hitman 3 Players can look forward to March.
Players can look forward to the redesigned Elusive Objective Arcade, new arcade contracts, the return of Elusive Objective, and enhanced support for Contract Mode.
Starting today is a new batch of three arcade contracts, one for each game in the trilogy: Nebula, Spirit, and Life. Complete any of these to unlock the Sieger AR552 Tactical.
Today also marks a number of changes affecting arcade contracts that have already been released, including those arriving today.
Changes include the re-introduction of mission briefings for each individual mission, a single complication will now persist in each arcade contract, and the deception complication has been removed, including “Hide All Corpses” and “Camera Countdown”. The only remaining complication is “one pacification”.
The developers removed the following complexities from the codex: “One Disguise Change” and “Headshots Only”. The only remaining complication was “no civilian casualties”. And, it removes these complexities from The Ellipses: “No Ballistics” and “Camera Countdown.” The only remaining complication is “hide all corpses”.
It also chose to keep the “Hide All Corpses” complication in The Ellipses to align with the choice to keep the first complication of each contract and avoid problems with the leaderboards. It won’t be returning in future arcade contracts.
The elusive target arcade contract is also about to change. Each arcade contract will contain three objectives. Complications that are considered “creative limitations” or that could lead to immediate failure will be avoided – this includes “hide all body” complications. The team is also working on making all ET Arcade complications optional. This will be implemented in the next patch if no issues are encountered.
On March 11, the elusive Target Collector will return, bringing players back to Dartmoor. You will have 10 days to destroy him. You can find out more about the goal in the video above.
On March 17, the contract mode will support more maps. Of the four missions in Hitman 1 GOTY’s “Patient Zero Battle”, The Source (Bangkok) is already supported, while The Vector (Colorado) will no longer be supported in the future due to its dynamic nature and unique sniper setup. The team revisited two other maps from the Patient Zero campaign and added contract mode support to them this month. The author (Sapienza) and patient zero (Hokkaido) will join on March 17. You’ll need the Hitman 1 GOTY Access Pass DLC to play these missions or create contracts.
Of particular note, viral contamination has been removed from the Hokkaido mission, as the team felt it was “too overbearing” for the contract mode.
There will be featured contracts for Patient Zero, one for each mission, and together they will form a mini-event.
Finally, on March 24th, a batch of arcade contracts for Elusive Target Arcade will be released. The batch will also include an arcade contract consisting of elusive goals from each game in the trilogy. Upon successful completion of any of the three, you will receive the HWK21 Covert.
