It’s done. IO Interactive has completed the merging of the Hitman titles under a new flag via patch and has also released the Freelancer mode.
As announced a while ago, IO Interactive has completed a major revamp of the three Hitman games. This includes, among other things, merging the last three Hitman games under the new title Hitman: World of Assassination. So now there is a common platform for the titles Hitman, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3 along with DLCs.
The update has now been completed on all platforms, i.e. PC, Playstation, Xbox and Switch, and is between 1.5 and 8 GB in size, depending on the platform. Hitman 3 owners will be automatically upgraded to World of Assassination.
Something has also changed in the stores. Hitman: World of Assassination comes in two editions – the standard version includes Hitman 3, Hitman 1 Game of the Year Access Pass and Hitman 2 Standard Access Pass. The Deluxe Pack includes the Hitman 3 Deluxe Pack and the Seven Deadly Sins Collection and the Hitman 2 Expansion Pass. By the way, Hitman is currently on sale on Steam and the Epic Games Store until February 14th, as far as we can tell.
The announced freelancer mode has now also been added as new content, which brings rogue-like elements with it and lets you set up your own safehouse. There are also technical upgrades. Hitman: WoA on PC now also supports NVIDIA DLSS 3 on RTX-40 graphics cards and NVIDIA Reflex, so you can really boost your framerates.
There are also numerous revisions and adjustments, including changes to the in-game hub, revisions in relation to the new branding, bug fixes, a complete overhaul of the audio files from the Paris map and much more. the complete patch notes you can take a look at the IOI website.
