Hogwarts Legacy: Last-gen versions continue to be delayed

Continue, delayed, Hogwarts, lastgen, Legacy, versions

Hogwarts Legacy is currently one of the hottest titles, but not all planned platforms are actually supplied with the role-playing game. Unfortunately, those who are waiting for the last-gen consoles must now be strong – because the release will be further delayed here.

If you want to play the current hype role-playing game Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you have to be patient anyway. While PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S were already supplied with the title on February 10, 2023, April 4, 2023 was the release date here so far – but even that will not work out.

Today the development team officially confirmed that the PS4 and Xbox One versions will be delayed even further. The bottom line is that for gamers on these two platforms, they now have to wait around three months longer than gamers on current-gen platforms, instead of around two. The new release date is now May 5, 2023 – unless something happens again.

In the corresponding announcement via Twitter, the only justification given was that they also wanted to deliver the best possible gaming experience on these two consoles – and for that you just needed a little more time. It remains to be seen to what extent this is a good omen for the technical implementation on the less powerful and older consoles.

It is not yet known whether the postponement for PS4 and Xbox One that has now been communicated will also have a negative impact on the switch release that is also planned. The version for the Nintendo console is still pending and is currently planned for July 25, 2023. Can the development team actually meet this deadline? We will keep you up to date!
