The Hogwarts Legacy video game has finally shown the tip of its nose, and it’s clear that certain endorsements already seem to have attracted public favor. Currently available for PC, Xbox Series and PS5, Hogwarts Legacy has already introduced a number of players into the Harry Potter world.
Hogwarts Legacy: PS5, Xbox… which is the favorite next-gen console for the French to play the Harry Potter video game?
Players who pre-ordered the deluxe version of the Hogwarts Legacy video game were able to rejoice before anyone else, because as of Tuesday night, the gates of Hogwarts Castle opened to let them pass ahead of the official release scheduled for February 10th.
For now, the Harry Potter universe-inspired video game is only available for PC, Xbox Series and PS5, and many players have pre-ordered their copy to make sure they can play it on D-Day. The pre-orders were so numerous that some retailers were surprised and ran out of available stock just before the arrival of the first players.

Not surprising, On the PS5, the game seems to be the most popular among gamersand in a way it’s quite logical since the PS5 has sold far more than the Xbox Series X. In fact, since its release in France, despite glaring production problems at Sony, it would have sold almost 765,000 PS5s, versus 300,000 Xboxes as the two competing consoles became simultaneously launched in November 2020.
Not born from the last rain, retailers obviously had to plan for a larger number of copies of the Hogwarts Legacy game for the PS5 than for the Xbox Series X and S, although everything was stylish and stockouts were everywhere showing a few hours before launch of the game. Race results: The PS5 boxed version of Hogwarts Legacy had disappeared from most shelves while the Xbox Series version was still available for pre-order!

on Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One
