Hogwarts Legacy PC version system requirements revealed

Hogwarts, Legacy, Requirements, revealed, System, version

In about a month, Hogwarts Legacy will not only be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but also for the PC. The system requirements for this platform have now been announced in advance.

If you want to play the promising Hogwarts Legacy, which is already very popular in the run-up to the release, on your home computer, you should also deal with the system requirements as usual. The developers have now announced what these officially look like in final form a month before the release.

The game has been among the top sellers in terms of sales on Steam for a long time – although it’s not even available yet. If you want to enjoy this on the PC in opulent form, you should have a high-end PC if possible. To play Hogwarts Legacy in 4K with ultra settings, you need an RTX 3090 Ti or a Radeon RX 7900 XT. If possible, an i7-10700k or Ryzen 5800X should be added as a processor. If you meet these criteria, you can play the title with 4K at 60 fps and the highest graphics settings.

Anyone who meets the CPU requirements but uses an RTX 2080 Ti or a Radeon RX 6800 as the graphics card can at least achieve 60 fps with ultra settings in a 1440p resolution.

The minimum requirements, of course, look much more moderate in comparison. To play Hogwarts Legacy properly, a GTX 960 or a Radeon RX 470 is required to get started with low graphics settings. A 720p resolution at 30 fps is then guaranteed. For slightly higher demands, namely 60 fps at a 1080p resolution, a GeForce 1080 Ti or a Radeon RX 5700 XT is required.

On the CPU side, you need at least an i5-6600 or a Ryzen 5 1400, but we recommend an i7-8700 or Ryzen 5 3600. You also need 16 GB of RAM, and even 32 GB for the ultra settings. And: You need a whopping 85 GB of free storage space on the hard drive for the game; an SSD is of course preferred.

Hogwarts Legacy will be released on February 10, 2023 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PS4 and Xbox One variant will follow on April 4th, with the Switch version scheduled for July 25th, 2023.
