Another promising project is now noticeably longer in coming than initially thought. Hogwarts Legacy has now been pushed back significantly by Warner Bros.
With Hogwarts Legacy, Warner Bros. has a hot iron in the fire for Harry Potter fans, but it is now noticeably longer in coming. Actually, the role-playing game should have been released in the new year 2021. While this is still going on for around eleven and a half months, one thing is already clear: Nothing will come of it.
Warner Bros. was very early on in this regard and confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy will appear in 2022 at the earliest. This was revealed through the game’s official Twitter account.
The announcement states that ensuring the best possible gaming experience is “of the utmost importance”; the development team should be given the necessary time for this, which is why the decision was made to postpone this.
Hogwarts Legacy was only announced in September as part of Sony’s PS5 Showcase for 2021. Avalanche is responsible for the development. In addition to the PS5, the release is also planned for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S. It is an RPG with an open game world and action elements that confronts you with well-known and new locations from the Harry Potter franchise, among other things. You can get to know all kinds of creatures, create your own character, craft potions, master spells, upgrade talents and become the ultimate magician – but not until 2022.
