Dead Cells is a Castlevania-inspired action platformer, where players can explore an ever-changing castle as they fight their way through its keepers. The game features intense action, nonlinear progression, pattern-based bosses as well as weapons and spells along with unique gameplay.
Hollow Knight is a 2D metroidvania title that follows the main character in an underground bug world, full of creepy-crawly bosses and more. The title made it into our Top 10 Metroidvanias To Play In 2021, alongside some other gems you can check it out here.
Motion Twin has been sharing a few different collaborations coming to Dead Cells on their Twitter account which includes the likes of Blasphemous, Skul: The Hero Slayer, Curse of the Dead Gods, and even Guacamelee! That’s quite the collection of heroes being teased.

The two titles although different in setting, to have a collaboration will be a great crossover. This isn’t the first time we have seen similar crossovers as Vigil: The Longest Night also had a crossover with Salt and Sanctuary which featured a unique questline and familiar enemies as well as a weapon. Whether the crossover will be to this extent is too early to tell, but either way, it’s exciting to see a collaboration between these two indie titles, which we’ll be hearing more about tomorrow.
We’re still awaiting more news on the Hollow Knight sequel, Silksong which has had some details revealed but maybe we’ll hear more at The Game Awards which are happening next month.
