The Honor V40 will be the next big flagship of the ex-Huawei subsidiary. But what then has a “smartwatch camera” to do with it? A leak reveals more.
- The Honor V40 can be seen on the web in the form of a render image and various sketches.
- The camera design on the back and the display panel should be interesting.
- The camera looks like the dial or the sensors of a smartwatch.
Huawei has parted ways with Honor and the upcoming Honor V40 should be the first smartphone under the flag of the ex-Huawei subsidiary. But here, too, the leaker scene, as usual, does not stop before the publication of new details, as the images that have now appeared on Weibo show.

Edge display with a significantly smaller punch-hole camera
The sketch and the rendered image in our gallery also show the edge display, the edges of which should be strongly rounded. A selfie camera is installed at the top left and information can be seen on the sketch. The recess should be around 20 percent smaller compared to the Honor V30 will.
Little is known about other hardware. An AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hertz is assumed. The main sensor of the camera should be equipped with 40 megapixels and use a Sony IMX700 as a basic sensor. When the model will be officially presented is not yet known.
