Exciting new motion capture footage posted on Twitter has many eager for the new Virtua Fighter project, thanks to the stark similarities between the captured motion and the signature attacks of characters like Akira, Shun, and Jacky. Sadly for fighting game fans, it turns out to be a new ACT AGE movie.
This video was posted on Ochan’s Twitter, who has been working on the Virtua Fighter series at Sega since 2011. His original tweet didn’t mention what game they’re currently working on.However, with some actions it seems Exactly Like Virtua Fighter’s critical strikes, some are sold on new Virtua Fighter items.
The last official word we heard from Virtua Fighter was Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown in 2021. The game faithfully touches on the last major release of the series, as dodgy netcode made it difficult for fighting game players to get people to play each other during the COVID lockdown.
