During tonight’s PlayStation State of Play presentation, Sony showed off its upcoming PlayStation VR2 game for the first time, calling of horizon mountain. The company also announced a new update Horizon Forbidden West.
Announced in January, Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Call of the Mountain is a brand new adventure game starring protagonist Ryas.
In the game, you’ll see the world through the eyes of Ryas, a former Shadow Karga warrior who hopes to redeem himself by investigating the threat to the Sundom. He specializes in archery, climbing dangerous mountains, and knocking down machines like Thunderjaws.
Throughout the journey, you’ll use and master a variety of tools and weapons, and even use materials to craft additional gear. Along the way, you’ll meet new and old Horizon characters, including Aloy himself.
The game also features an immersive river riding experience.
With the Horizon Forbidden West update, you can look forward to the long-awaited New Game+ features and Ultra Hard mode.
You can also expect quality of life features. A cosmetic that used to be a transmog feature that allows you to customize your outfit’s outfits. This will make it look like any other owned gear.
There’s also respec, which lets you reset your skill points and reassign them.
This update also comes with a dedicated trophy pack, so you can track your victories while playing Ultra Hard with New Game+.
Additionally, there’s a new Herbalist vendor selling animal parts, and the developers have improved Temporal Anti-Aliasing to improve the visual fidelity of PS5 Performance Mode and PS4 Pro renderings. You can expect an upcoming patch to include VRR support and a 40FPS mode.
