Horizon Forbidden West DLC now pays homage to the late Lance Reddick

Following the passing of actor Lance Reddick earlier this year, Guerrilla Games has added tribute content to Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shore expansion.

The actor, best known for his roles in the “Destiny” and “John Wick” franchises, died in March at the age of 60. Fans of the time visited Redick’s Commander Zavala to pay their respects to the late actor. Nine years later, he appears in major Destiny 2 locations. Redick, of course, has also appeared in the Horizon series, including the sequel Horizon Forbidden West released last year. On Friday, June 23, Guerrilla shared that it has added the Reddick Memorial, which you can find in the game’s Burning Shores DLC released earlier this year.

“In memory of Lance Redick, we have created a monument to honor the profound impact he had on all of us,” Partisan tweeted displaying the monument. “Lance, thank you for everyth ing you brought to the role of Sirence: your gravitas, your energy, your wit and more. You were an incomparable talent and friend. We miss you so much.”

Fans had discovered the memorial (thanks to Push Square) before Guerrilla shared it on his Twitter account, with many pointing out they hadn’t seen it in the original game. The monument was probably added as part of the 1.26 update released on June 20th.

Redick starred in the Horizon series as Sylens, who appeared in both the first game and the sequel, as a villain and scholar who founded the militaristic cult Eclipse.

Destiny developer Bungie also paid tribute to the actor in a post earlier this year, noting that his performance as Commander Zavala is yet to come.Redick also had ready to play hellboy Hellboy Web of Wyrd is a new game released last year based on the classic manga.
