Is the multiplayer adventure from the PlayStation franchise Horizon coming sooner than expected? A job advertisement suggests this!
With Aloy and the Horizon action series, Sony PlayStation has once again created a well-known and successful exclusive series, but series lovers have been waiting for a sequel on the Sony console since the release of Horizon: Forbidden West in 2022. At least that’s true if you ignore the LEGO adventure LEGO Horizon Adventures, which is available from today.
As for the actual franchise itself, it is known that several new video games are also in the works. In addition to a third part of the main series, there will also be a multiplayer spin-off – and that may come onto the market earlier than previously thought. At least that’s what a fresh job advertisement suggests.
Guerrilla Games is now looking for a new employee for the position of “Release QA Intern”. In this context, the tender explicitly refers to an online game. The new employee must also be available “in the first half of 2025” and, as part of his job, should “ensure that the game is prepared for publication.”
Since it is known that a Horizon multiplayer title is in the works, coupled with the fact that well-known and reliable insider Jason Schreier emphasized earlier this year that Guerrilla Games’ next game would be this multiplayer title, the likelihood is very high be high that this is Horizon Online. The time window communicated in the advertisement gives rise to legitimate speculation that this title could appear in the second half of 2025 if the test runs in quality assurance are completed in the first half of the year.
We will of course keep you up to date on further developments surrounding Horizon Online. Would you take a closer look at a live service multiplayer game in the Aloy universe?
