Sony announced a Horizon Zero Dawn The project is working with Netflix and has been confirmed Mars Amazon Prime program.
The God of War project was first revealed in March via Deadline, despite Sony saying the previous year that a TV show or movie based on the series had not yet been developed.
The company also said it was working on the Gran Turismo pitch (thanks, resetera).
During a streaming presentation, Sony Pictures Entertainment Chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra said the success of some of its previous IP collaborations made the company aware of cross-collaboration with its gaming IP potential.
The Uncharted movie helped in that regard, with Sony announcing that it would soon hit $400 in revenue based on a $120 million budget. Vinciquerra went on to reiterate the company’s current gaming-related shows, such as HBO’s The Last of Us, NBC’s Peacock’s Twisted Metal series, and the Ghost of Tsushima movie.
There are currently 10 additional film and TV projects in development with PlayStation, in various stages of production and development.
