Many had imagined the release of Cyberpunk 2077 differently. Since its release, one of the most anticipated games in 2020 has been struggling with technical problems such as bugs and glitches, but also performance losses on various systems. The last-gen consoles in particular had been hit hard.
Since then, CD Projekt has been working hard to improve it and trying to solve the problem with patches and updates. Update 1.06, released on December 23rd, is the most recent and fixed one of the most annoying bugs on the PC shortly before Christmas. Beyond that, there was only one quest fix and other console improvements.
Update 1.05, released on December 19, was much more extensive and mainly fixed quest bugs and improved performance and graphics problems. You can read the complete patch notes in our Update 1.05 overview:

CP 2077: Huge patch 1.05 now also available on PC
With the 1.05 update, a supposed performance fix was removed that had previously helped some players. Since then, we have read many different opinions and statements about how cyberpunk currently runs on most computers, especially in the comments.

Also exciting: Despite the numerous technical problems and the many refunds, Cyberpunk was able to sell over 13 million times. New updates will probably not be available until the beginning of 2021, because now the developers are also on Christmas vacation for the first time.
