Howling Tides has finally been released, and many fans of the open-world action game are diving in and enjoying the game to their heart’s content. However, that doesn’t mean the game’s launch has been smooth sailing, as there have been numerous reports of bugs, graphical issues, and performance glitches.
Let’s start with those performance issues! Many players who have switched over from Genshin Impact or other Gacha games have encountered a ton of issues. Among them is the much-loved A-pose, an animation bug that has been released online, much to the delight of many.
Many players have criticized the game for its poor performance and poor texture quality, even those using PCs, who should be able to run a mobile action RPG with relative ease. The game suffers from blurry textures, and while it’s not catastrophic, it’s a bit rough to see on decent settings. Now, there’s a solution! Turning off or adjusting settings like anti-aliasing can greatly improve your experience. This is especially true for mobile players, who can see a huge and noticeable enhancement to their Gacha gaming experience with a few simple tweaks.
Still, the game seems to be succeeding in serious fashion. As of this writing, it’s one of the most-watched games on Twitch.tv, with 982,000 viewers tuning in. That’s a pretty good number for a day one, when most Americans are still asleep. Also, it’s worth noting that while the bugs seem to be widespread, the team has published a list of known issues and promised to fix them in short order. So, hopefully, this is just one of those classic rough launches, and not an experience with permanent negative quirks that we have to get used to.
Please tell us about your first day with WuWa. Did you encounter any issues? Or was everything going well?
