HoYoverse may be gearing up to release “Sunday” and “Listening Clouds – Fugue” (which I affectionately call Fugue Clouds or Death Clouds (IYKYK)) in Honkai Impact, but that doesn’t stop them from continuing to tease The role of HSR 3.0. First up is Herta, a 5-star variant of the Herta puppet, which came with an impressive hat upon release and surprisingly has the same path and elements as her 4-star version – Ice Same as Erudition. This is so exciting.
Even more exciting is Aglaea, a five-star costume master on Amphorus, the newest planet in HSR 3.0. This is our first confirmation that Amphoreus is next. Oh, Aglaia is walking the path of remembrance. HoYoverse casually left this out of Aglaea’s character art, as if it was no big deal and just a normal thing to reveal on Twitter on Tuesday night. No official mention, nothing. But remembrance will surely come.
The more discerning may not find this information surprising. With HoYoverse starting to give Erudite a lot of attention recently, including teasing 5-star Hertha in a previous update, I think Erudite is going to be a big thing on Amphilus. However, after a friend reminded me of Black Swan’s early role in HSR 2.0 and the prominence of Fury and The Remembrance in those conversations, I realized that HoYoverse had actually been preparing for this all along.
How “Remembrance” will play out is anyone’s guess. In Hertha’s simulated universe and its various iterations, Blessing of Remembrance is tied to freeze effects and freeze-specific debuffs. Any Ice character can inflict Freeze when breaking an enemy, regardless of path. Star Trail’s other paths are more broadly defined by playstyle – harmonious support, plentiful health, damage over time, and void debuffs – which seems odd for a path as a whole, let alone for That’s usually strange for an electrical character like Aglaia.
In short, expect something unexpected to happen that could shake up the meta, perhaps related to the summons help that some Star Orbit leakers have posted over the past few months.
Honkai Star Rail 3.0 is expected to go online around January 14, 2025. In the meantime, if you’re planning any pulls in the near future, brush up on your Acheron and Aventurine knowledge, and grab some HSR codes if you need some freebies.
