Good news Huawei is celebrating a comeback with the 10.4-inch MatePad tablet in promotion
If the tablet market in the West roughly amounts to a battle between Apple and Samsung, the balance of power in Asia is completely different. Huawei is still enjoying popularity there, although still under the blow of American sanctions, of course with telephony, but also and especially with tablets such as the MatePad 10.4, which we can currently find on Amazon for only $ 219.99.
Before we move on with this good plan, let’s quickly return to the conflict between Huawei and the United States, which is depriving the Chinese brand of the famous Google services that we are so used to using on a daily basis.
Put simply, in May 2019, Donald Trump, then President of the United States, suspected the Chinese brand of espionage on behalf of Beijing and decided to prohibit American companies from collaborating with Huawei. So that applies to Qualcomm, which supplies chips for smartphones, but also and above all to Google, which on the one hand supplies Android, but also a whole range of applications such as Gmail, Maps and of course the Google Play Store.
The blow was hard and the Chinese brand, then the world market leader in telephony, gradually disappeared from the landscape. After Huawei sold its subsidiary Honor in order to be able to continue to manufacture smartphones equipped with Android, Huawei is gradually recovering and is therefore offering an entire ecosystem based on its own applications and its own store.

Huawei MatePad 10.4, a powerful and consistent tablet that does very well even without Google services
Huawei, which outrageously dominated the telephony market, gave way to Xiaomi, which is now growing without limits. It’s a little different on the tablet market, on the one hand because there is much less volume, on the other hand because there are fewer players. And as I said, the market between Apple and Samsung is practically halved. However, some brands like Lenovo or Huawei haven’t said their last word yet.
The MatePad 10.4 is a tablet that, as the name suggests, is a very nice 10.4 inch IPS display. It is equipped with a Kirin 820 processor supported by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, to which you can assign a micro SD card to increase the capacity up to 512 GB if necessary.
The sound system is provided by the well-known Harman Kardon brand and has no fewer than 4 speakers with 3D sound. Finally, autonomy, thanks to his generous 7250 mAh battery, you can watch up to 12 hours of films or series.
Let’s put it right, if you swear by Google you might be a little confused at first. The lack of Play Store, Chrome, Gmail, or Google Maps in the form of an application can be annoying, but it is by no means prohibitive.
First of all, the OS EMUI 10.1 integrates its own Huawei store with most of the applications that we are used to, and when accessing your e-mails, for example, you can call them up at any time directly on the live site via the integrated browser. If it seems unwise on a smartphone to use a device without a Google service, it is not a problem on a tablet.
At the regular price of $ 319.99, the Huaweii MatePad 10.4 tablet is currently on sale for only $ 219.99 on Amazon.
