The PC strategy game Humankind also made an appearance at the Summer Game Fest, but the focus was not just on a second expansion. Instead, the title has now also been announced for consoles.
Amplitude Studios announced a console version of the previously PC-exclusive strategy game Humankind at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest. Accordingly, you will be able to explore human history on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PS5 in the future; Pre-orders are now possible.
The porting experts from Aspyr Studio are responsible for the development of the console version, and in a first statement they are of course pleased about the corresponding cooperation with SEGA and the Amplitude Studios. It remains to be seen which adjustments to the game will be made specifically for the consoles. However, there is already a release date: November 4, 2022 will be the day.
However, PC players can now get the second expansion. The new DLC is called “Cultures of Latin America” and focuses – you guessed it – on the history of Latin America. There are six new cultures: Caralans, Nazca, Taino, Incas, Argentines, and Cubans. In addition, there are the following additional features:
-
six new wonders of the world: Pyramid of the Sun – Teotihuacan, Maracana Stadium, Salar de Uyuni, Salto Angel, Lençóis Maranhenses and the Atacama Desert.
-
nine independent peoples
-
15 narrative events
-
30+ new in-game themed music tracks composed by Arnaud Roy
While the DLC costs 8.99 dollars on Steam and the Epic Games Store, the “Bolivar Patch” is free for all players. The update brings the following new features:
-
Revamped surrender system
-
Rebalanced War Support modifiers
-
Infrastructure revenue forecasts
-
Unique miracle effects
-
… and much more!
