In Manor Lords you sometimes experience hard times, for example when food becomes scarce in winter or when your village is devastated by a bandit attack. At other times, however, country life is quite idyllic and, thanks to the elaborate graphics, really beautiful to look at.
However, one player was presented with a rather unpleasant sight. As soon as he moved away from his keyboard for a few minutes, the villagers started behaving strangely.
It is as if they knew
As Werefoxo reports on Reddit, he was only away for a short time. When he returned, however, he was surprised by his residents, who had all lined up and were looking in his direction:

The residents were supposed to go about their normal daily business without being asked to do anything, such as ploughing fields, tending gardens, or doing their crafts. Instead, they stood around stiffly, as if they knew the player wasn’t there.
In his post, the player asks for a serious explanation for the phenomenon, but also explicitly wants humorous answers. And of course they are provided:
Your village has become conscious and now they look up to you in admiration.
I never take a break because they either can’t take care of themselves, […] or do something weird and ruin my game. You know it…

Manor Lords is a medieval dream that is not over yet – with stone walls
Of course, the explanation for the strange event is quite simple: it is a bug, the kind that often occurs in an early access title.
How the error occurs and where it comes from is not entirely clear, but there are speculations. For example, WonderfulToTheMaxthe bug occurs when he plays at maximum speed. He was able to fix the problem by saving the game, reloading it and then reducing the speed.
At least for Werefoxo, this workaround doesn’t seem to help and other players also report struggling with the problem. upcoming patch for Manor Lords The problem has apparently not been resolved yet. So, if in doubt, the only thing left to do is wait, as the villagers are doing.
Since Manor Lords has just been released in Early Access, some problems are still being fixed. Players are constantly pushing the game to its limits: for example, by walking around their village with VR glasses or building a huge city with thousands of inhabitants.
