Explore these: What makes Hunter: Duel unique and learn the differences with tips for beginners and veterans.
Hunting: Duel is an unusual game-part is a competitive shooting game, and part is a PvE shooting game like Evolve or Monster Hunter with a persistent world.
I say perseverance, because just like escaping from Takov, if you die, your character and the trophies earned in a game will disappear forever. Not only will you lose a game, you will also lose a character that has been upgraded and decorated for days or weeks in a row.
This makes every round very stressful because the stakes are as high as the stakes you get from such games. But Hunter: Duel has many other mechanisms on the surface that don't communicate well or can't communicate at all.
Here I will break down some things you still need to escape.
Track how many players you killed
A typical Chase: Showdown match can only have a maximum of twelve players. You may not immediately encounter other players as in PUBG or Fortnite, but you will inevitably meet some players when searching for monsters.
After all, everyone will move towards the same point, and your paths will intersect. Unlike other predecessor standing games, there is no counter that constantly reminds you of the number of players remaining. This is by design, as tensions intensify as the game progresses, especially during the exile phase, where you wait to collect tokens from the losing boss and everyone is vigilant.
Therefore, you need to keep in mind how many players your team has killed in this round. You may be surprised to find that you killed most servers and even all other players, making the final game a breeze. Knowing that you only need to worry about the other two players can enter the exile phase.
Learn about enemies near the trail
If you glow red when you see a clue in the dark, it means someone is nearby. Obviously, this knowledge should change your approach, but there is another thing to keep in mind. After interacting with the clue, the seal is broken. If you have a clue and the seal is broken, it means someone has been here. If it is red and the seal is not broken, someone is nearby and looking for the same clue.
How to open a barricade door
We've all been there-you're trying to escape some terror and then run to a door, only to find it closed. If a window is found, the barricade can be fired from the other side, opening a road. It's also handy for clearing escape routes in planned raids. You can also destroy the door by destroying it with a bullet or using a sledgehammer or any other melee weapon found in the open world, which is the most effective way. It's also worth noting that opening the door is quieter when squatting than when standing. You can also sprint and melee doors to quickly open them and destroy the complex.
Don't always go to the nearest extraction point
After the exile process is over, the mind game in Hunt: Duel will begin. At this point, you (and your teammates) will need to rob and go to any of the pick points on the map and win.
There is almost always an extraction point close to where you fight with your boss, and once you are ready to escape quickly, you should go there. However, sometimes you may not want to do this.
The endgame usually involves waiting in the bush for a team to kill the monsters, ambushing them, and getting their hard-earned loot before extracting. If you can predict where the enemy will withdraw, you can camp at the exit, or even better, set an ambush at the withdrawal point itself.
In this case, it is worth mentioning that the extraction point is farther than the closest extraction point. This will confuse anyone who camps outdoors, waiting for you to step out of a gate or down a certain road.
Often, the battleground with the boss is much larger than the two people actually cover without having to show up. As a result, campers tend to go all out to observe the exit closest to the nearest pickup point.
In addition, camping an extraction point in Hunt: Showdown is completely one thing. Develop a plan accordingly.
Fight in the extraction area
Once you get a bounty, or if you are in poor health and want to keep your character alive, it's time to pull out. You can see all extraction points marked as doorways around the edges of the map. You need to get them into these areas and survive in them while timing them.
Sometimes you are attacked by campers or other players trying to extract. If any of them enter the extraction area, it will freeze your extraction. If your partner is down, you can't pick it up either-you have to revive them first. Obviously, this can be good for you because you can put an enemy into the team and encamp their body to prevent their teammates from leaving. Remember that you must extract it before the map timer ticks, otherwise you will lose your character.
Viscoelastic
Just like the bleeding effect, you can interact to pull sticky bombs out of your body. Just make sure it falls on the floor and you can remove it.
Learn how crows work
If you approach them in "Hunting: Duel", the crow will fly away and you can use this mechanism to determine the position of the enemy. That's because crows always fly away from where they were triggered, giving you an angle that disturbs them. But be careful, because professional players sometimes deliberately trigger crows in the opposite direction by throwing throwables at each other.
You will never have enough ammunition to kill everyone
One of the limitations of Hunt: Showdown is that players have limited ammo capacity, which became apparent very early. Between your two main weapons, assuming you even want to use two, you will have 30 bullets.
You can switch to see how many bullets each weapon holds. Therefore, it is best to use only a small amount of firearms.
Don't use firearms. Instead, rely on your own melee weapons (whether secondary knives or proper machetes) to dispose of fodder foes. Most smaller NPCs die after one or two hits, so this is not a big deal.
Obviously, ammunition should also be saved when engaging with other players. Saving ammunition can also help you start your boss's battle faster, without having to look around to recharge first.
Don't forget the supplies after the boss fights
Even if you have been saving ammo for your boss fights, you are likely to run out of ammo in battle. In the boss room, there is usually a universal ammunition box that can provide you with all your weapons before they run out.
You will also find shotgun bullets and bullet packs in some places. Make sure you always fill up with water when possible, especially after killing your boss.
If other players enter the boss room to kill you, or they are waiting outside in an ambush, you don't want to be crushed by your pants. In any game, it's not fun to realize that you only have two bullets left when you are shot, especially here.
Among the various compounds you will also find treatment kits that can be used once, just like ammunition boxes.
When it comes to supplies, you can use multiple supply points on the go. They are marked with a carriage icon on the mini map, so be careful if you can't find enough ammunition indoors.
Crippled enemy
We all know that headshots are the best choice for you to kill undead. Nevertheless, this is a quiet game which is your biggest advantage. This means it's best to avoid the mob completely. One way to make evasion easier is to weaken the enemy by attacking the legs. This works for most enemy types, including awkward skulls, and requires you to use your melee weapons to cut your legs. This will cause them to walk slowly, letting you walk late into the night.
How to deal with dogs and chicken coops
One of the most important things to remember in Hunt: Showdown is how much noise it makes. You should avoid crowds of crows, sling chains and glass bottles on the floor. When contacting other players, crouch and move slowly to make them fall.
Dog cages and chicken cages are like the alert system of Hunting: Showdown. Near any occupied animal, the animal will make a sound to remind other players to pay attention to your location. A good trick to learn about these cages from a distance is to pay attention to whether the cages are red or gray-red indicates that they are occupied and gray indicates that they are empty and safe to pass. If it is full, you can throw the lantern in the middle of the chicken coop to clear it quietly. Lanterns hanging above the cage can also be destroyed with bullets, cross bows and throwing knives. The last two are clearly the quietest options.
How to finish an injured horse silently
In addition to dogs and chickens, dying horses are scattered on the map of this chaotic world. As you approach, they yell in pain to remind people around you. You can obviously kill them by shooting the head, but it's best to kill them quietly with a knife. You can also throw a lantern on your head, but if you miss the lantern, it will shatter and set the horse on fire, making a louder noise.
How to deal with corpse burners
Corpse Burners are one of the toughest battles in Hunter: Duel if you don't understand how they work. You have to reconnect your brain. Don't shoot them, because firing them or using a sword to attack them could set them on fire. This means they can easily cause you fire damage. It is best to use blunt instruments or slap them with a gun to kill them more safely. If you are close, you can also ignite them with bullets and wait for them to run out. This takes about 30 seconds, so make sure you are fine. You can also lure them into the water to put out the fire.
Reduced bullet penetration and damage
"Hunt: Showdown" has no place to drop bullets, but there are some things to consider. For example, the bullet is not clicked here. If the enemy is running at a long distance, they need to lead them to the position where the projectile arrived. The further away they are, the less harm the shot will take. You can also use all lances to penetrate wood, and some high caliber weapons can penetrate metal plates. The closer you get, the better.
Using traps
You can find traps and trip mines in the world, and you should use them to stop other hunters. Just place them at any entrance. You can also combine a bear trap and a trip line by placing a trip net and then placing a bear trap below it.
