If you keep it with Hyrule Warriors on the Switch, you can look forward to fresh content in the current month of June. Nintendo announced this at the current E3.
In their E3 Direct, the Japanese announced two waves of additional downloadable content for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. These are to be published as part of the Expansion Pass.
The starting shot will even be given this month, because tomorrow, June 19th, “Pulse of the Ancients”, the first major DLC within the Expansion Pass will be available. In this package you can expect a more comprehensive roster, new weapon types and more challenging opponents.
The new playable character is the Guardian from the Zelda series. New weapons include the Flail for Link and Master Cycle for Zelda. With the Royal Ancient Tech Lab, there will be a new location where you can test yourself with new challenges to unlock weapons and other helpful features.
When it comes to opponents, you’ll face the bomb-throwing Moblin, the great Chuchu and other adversaries. As a special challenge, the new apocalyptic difficulty level was implemented, as well as the Dangerous Specimen boss fights.
The second major DLC will then be released in November 2021 and is called “Guardian of Remembrance”. Here you can expect new stages, a roster expansion and new combat skills for the characters that are already available.
