Next week marks the 25th anniversary of Pokemon Gold and Silver, and to mark the occasion, The Pokemon Company is releasing some incredibly high-quality merchandise.

Given that Pokemon is clearly aimed at children, its merchandise often skews toward its target audience, even if a large portion of the game’s overall audience is made up of millennials who can’t accept that they’re getting older. But it seems the latest batch of announced merchandise is aimed squarely at an older demographic, as The Pokemon Company has unveiled a slew of merchandise designed to celebrate Gold and Silver’s 25th anniversary (in Japan) next week, November 21st. There’s some really good stuff out there that’s currently only available in Japan through the Pokemon Center, but I really hope it comes here so I can pick something up.

Pokemon plush toys are usually a dime a dozen and there are so many of them, but this collection features Ho-Oh and Lugia plush toys in gold and silver color schemes respectively, and honestly, they look It looks really cute. There’s also some cute stationery and keychains, as well as a simple but pretty backpack, and a range of stickers featuring plastic replicas of gold and silver Game Boy color cartridges.

But without a doubt, the best piece is a pair of reversible jackets that feature both Ho-Oh and Lugia on the front, in a gold and silver color scheme, and a different legend pattern on the back, depending on which color you buy. Turn it over and the pattern looks like a map of Johto, which feels really nice. If these do become successful, I can imagine they’ll sell out quickly, and while there’s no sign that they will, it’s still worth keeping an eye on The Pokemon Company’s social just in case.

The company is likely planning to release the product closer to its North American and European release dates (2000 and 2001 respectively). If you’re reading this, The Pokemon Company: please at least bring a stuffed animal, and I promise if you do, I’ll stop badmouthing Scarlet and Violet.
