It’s clear that one of the projects that has the most attention from the public is the reboot of the Harry Potter franchise in the form of a series for Max. Warner is moving forward with care and detail to make an adaptation that lives up to the original work, but, above all, that can be sufficiently differentiated from the films.
The actress has spoken about this very thing Bonnie Wrightwho played Ginny Weasley on the big screen, during an interview with the American media VarietyWright explains the main advantage that the Max series will have over the film saga: length.
“I’m looking forward to seeing more of the character development. I wish the movies had been five hours long. There are so many characters that have moments that I love from the books, like Neville and Luna, or Ginny and Harry, so I’m hoping, as a fan of the books, that I’ll get to see more of that now that it’s being adapted into a series.”
Wright is convinced that, as a series, the development of many characters and the relationships between them can be better observed. As a clear example, she gives the relationship between Ginny and Harry, which, while in the films seems to be somewhat abrupt due to lack of time, in the books you can see how both characters establish a romantic relationship as the plot progresses.
On the other hand, the British actress also commented that she would love to see a new version of the story, since they can take advantage of all the time they have to adapt each book and offer a much fresher point of view instead of being a rehash of what has already been seen on the big screen.
