Still inspired by last week’s theme, we wanted to turn it on its head and ask a more pertinent question in the decade-long era of marketing campaigns: What is the most rubbish game ever, but it has a great trailer?

How to Rubbish Can a game ever be called the “best”? Look, don’t worry. The gaming press is full of this kind of contradictory bullshit. We often say things like, “A 7/10 good game is better than a 9/10 bad game.” That sounds reasonable. But sometimes it doesn’t.

Speaking of anomalies, this week we were lucky enough to have Eurogamer’s Ian Higton join us on this humble little show. He’s the second presenter from Eurogamer we’ve managed to get, as these guys are usually too busy coming up with cheesy puns, but his showdown with Tom on the premiere show will live on forever. We’re also joined by Connor, who seems determined to sabotage his own plans this week, but is instead putting the blame on Jim (me). Typical.

To find out why Connor lost and who would win between Tom Orrie and Ian Higdon, all you have to do is watch or listen to this week’s fantastic Best Game Ever podcast in one of the following convenient ways. No, we don’t know why Jim donned sunglasses and a bandana again. Other than the fact that he’s a goofball.
