Monster Hunter World is one of the few games that can expand to most players.
With the launch of the Monster Hunter World movie Ice field Expanded on the PC last week, the game once again restored the high player count on Steam.
Since Thursday, the numbers have continued to grow steadily the second day of each day, reaching an impressive peak 284,524 Concurrent players later on Sunday. This effectively places it third in Steam's most popular games, behind heavyweight PUBG, CS: GO and Dota 2.
284,524 players can play any game, but this is double for Monster Hunter World as it is close to the game's highest record ever 334,684 Concurrent players.
The weekend data may be further improved this week, but it proves that the initial popularity of the game is not accidental, and many people who chose this game in 2018 have re-experienced the iceberg.
But this is not all smooth sailing. Iceborne currently has a "hybrid user review" rating on Steam after initially starting with a negative rating.
This may be due to many PC issues brought about by the extension, such as performance that seems to drop for no reason, and some players delete saved files.
Capcom is working on these issues, but they may affect some players making purchases immediately. With the help of the new clutch claw guide, catch up to what the iceberg may be missing, unlock raider rides in the hoarfrost coverage and much more.
