If you don’t want to use Apple’s iCloud on your iPhone or Mac, you can turn off online storage manually. You do this as follows:
If you no longer want to use Apple’s online storage software, you should turn it off. This way you can be sure that your private content does not unintentionally end up in the iCloud.
You can perform this process on all devices that are compatible with iCloud, including iPhone and iPad. In this example we will show you the individual steps using the web version for online storage. Depending on the device, some steps may vary slightly.
Disable iCloud

Navigate to iCloud settings and scroll down. At the bottom, click on “Log out”.

Now you have to enter your password for your Apple ID as usual. Then you tap on “Deactivate”. You will now be prompted to choose which iCloud data you want to keep a copy of on your device.

Once you have made your decision, click on “Log out” there as well. By clicking on the “Log out” button again, you confirm the process.
