Have you spent your long nights craving a PC port of Bloodborne? Well, you’re definitely not the only one, and the good news is that FromSoftware’s Hidetaka Miyazaki isn’t against a port being made available. He even thinks it’s a cool idea. Sadly, that doesn’t mean a port is going to happen.
If you’re not in the know, the reason for that last point is pretty simple. As Miyazaki has stated, he and FromSoft don’t own the intellectual property for Bloodborne, so returning to the series in any way would be much more difficult than returning to a series the studio does control. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible, though, and it seems like the developer wouldn’t turn down working on Bloodborne again if given the chance.

When asked about Bloodborne’s release on PC (for what feels like the nine millionth time) during an interview with PC Gamer, Miyazaki gave some personal thoughts on the idea, while admitting that it’s not his place to say for or against such a thing right now.
After admitting that he “did” know that other FromSoft employees in the room wanted a PC port of Bloodborne, the developer said: “If I said I wanted one, I’d get in trouble too. But I’m not against it.”
On that basis, he mused: “My pure, honest opinion as one of the creators of Bloodborne is that I wish more players were able to enjoy it. Especially as a game that’s coming of age now, an older game that gets lost on older hardware – I think any game like this, if there’s a chance that more players can experience and revisit a relic from the past, that’s great.”
So, there you have it. Miyazaki isn’t going to stop you and your army of Bloodborne fans from getting what you so desperately want, even if he can’t snap his fingers and make it happen just yet.
That’s definitely something that’s going to happen back at FromSoft, and if you’re looking for a guide on completing anything in the Lands Between as you return to Elden Ring and finish up what you need to do before Shadow of the Erdtree drops, be sure to check out our recent update on a range of content covering everything from reaching Mohgwyn Palace to obtaining Adula’s Moonblade.
