If you don’t like things done by halves, you can climb into the Elden Ring half-naked. From Software introduced two new classes for the new Soulslike of the Dark Souls inventors, one of them with little more on their body than a visit to the sauna.
The class is called Wretchwhich loosely translates as poor bastard
called. And poor rum dripping also seems to be the order of the day. As From Software explains on Twitter, it is one poor sow without a purpose
.
Wretch: A poor, aimless sow, naked as the day she was born. A nice club is all she has.

Sure, who didn’t think first about a spiritual successor to Dark Souls: Oh crap, really with armor and sword is much too easy. I wish there was a hardcore mode.
Although some experts can hardly find a level of difficulty too merciless. And fortunately, it remains optional which class you start with in the Elden Ring.
Incidentally, From Software even thinks that less talented gamers should also get a chance at Elden Ring. The developers describe exactly how this should succeed here:
Elden Ring
From Software to Difficulty
Prophet with healing arts
The second class presented is the prophets, who doesn’t necessarily look happier than Wretch in the teaser image either. Eventually he became ostracized for unfortunate prophecies
but at least has healing incantations
.
Prophet: A seer who was ostracized for making unfortunate prophecies. Well versed in healing incantations.
