Season 2 of Sonic Prime is finally streaming on Netflix, and luckily for Sonic fans, Sonic Prime Dash Then came the Netflix game.
Season 2 of the TV series and Sonic Prime Dash both hit Netflix on July 13, and the mobile game looks like a great way to pass the time between episodes. If you’re familiar with the 2013 game Sonic Dash and its 2015 sequel, Sonic Dash 2, then Sonic Prime Dash is pretty much the same with some much-needed improvements.

In the game, you play as Blue Blur, who runs infinitely, occasionally rescuing animals or killing enemies. You’ll dodge obstacles and tackle boss fights, and even learn about some new character designs taken straight from the Sonic Prime show, such as robot Amy Rose and Tails.
The more you run, the more animals you collect, which you can then use to restore the island and unlock new levels. Truth be told, Sonic Prime Dash is a more exciting version of Temple Run, and I’d be lying if I didn’t reveal that I spent the first 15 minutes of this writing just to play it. It’s surprisingly easy and fun.
In Sonic Prime Dash, you’ll use Sonic, Tails Nine, Rusty Rose, and Boscage Maze Sonic as playable characters. However, you can also unlock characters like Classic Sonic, Metal Sonic, Big, Espio, and Rouge using the Red Star Ring you earn through playing the game.
If you want to try Sonic Prime Dash, you can download it for free through the Netflix mobile app, provided you have a subscription; it’s also ad-free! You’ll need to open the Netflix app and scroll down a bit to reach the available mobile games carousel to find it.
Besides Sonic Prime Dash, the Netflix app actually has some great mobile gaming offerings; Oxenfree, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, Bloons Tower Defense 6, Terra Nil, and more. If you subscribe to Netflix, this is really worth a watch!
