Tekken 8 Bandai Namco announced today that it will conduct a closed network test next month. The test will take place on all three platforms the game will be released on – PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
It’ll also be a content-heavy pack, with 16 characters to choose from, five stages, and cross-platform matchmaking. Unfortunately, this test is only for 1v1 ranked matches, so there’s not much you can do about it.
The Tekken 8 Closed Network Test will be conducted in two sessions. The first is exclusive to PlayStation 5. starting on friday, July 21 at 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am BST / 10am CDT. Ends Monday, July 24 at 12am PT / 3am ET / 8am BST / 9am CDT.
Week 2 will introduce PC and Xbox Series X/S players – but PlayStation 5 players can also join for a second time. Starting this Friday, July 28 at 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am BST / 10am CDTends Monday, July 31 at 12am PT / 3am ET / 8am BST / 9am CDT.
During each session, you can expect the server to be down for three hours for maintenance. The first is July 21st and the latter is July 29th.
Seats are limited, first come first served. Even though there’s no guarantee you’ll be selected, it’s worth registering for the web test anyway. The purpose here is to test the online gameplay of Tekken 8 and the new mechanics of the game, you will be asked to take part in a survey at the end of the game.
