There's a lot to love about Disco Elysium: the writing, the art style, the philosophy, the branching narratives, the little hole in the middle of time and space, the Kaneki Castle Lieutenant… the list goes on.
But anyone who has spent a few hours in the tragic yet wonderful world of Disco Elysium will know that the OST is truly something special. Conceived, performed and arranged by Brighton-based British sextet Sea Power (who you may know by their former moniker British Sea Power), the OST is a perfect lesson in pain, self-reflection and sonic infancy.

If you're like me and have been wanting to hear some of this music live – to escape the tragic throes of Revachol and its failed revolution – then I have some good news. Sea Power announce 2025 UK soundtrack tourand will focus on the band’s film and video game scoring work. It will be held next April.
I have written at length about OST for other publications. It does an excellent job as video game music, enhancing the impact of everything else on the project while also standing on its own, a singular musical talent in its own right. Given that Sea Power removes itself from the usual songwriting process and makes music “living inside someone else's head,” you can see why it's so successful. Methods in music writing seem to be helpful.
“We are delighted to announce an acoustic tour for April 2025,” the band said in a statement. “These UK shows will feature the much-loved music of Sea Power, with a selection of atmospheric, emotive tracks adapted from From the soundtrack to the BAFTA award-winning computer game Disco Elysium, as well as re-created tracks for the soundtracks to the critically acclaimed films Aran and From the Sea.”
