If you’re a die-hard Final Fantasy 7 fan, then you’ve probably seen the fantastic new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Reborn that was released last night. However, if you missed it, you might want to stay away. The trailer, while entertaining, is full of spoilers and key moments that you might better understand when you first play the game.
This trailer joins the awesome trailer to inject the final dose of hype into the fan base as FF7 Reborn launches on February 29th. It’s a clear homage to the original, and features scenarios tailor-made to excite fans of the RPG classic. However, because this new trilogy is so different in narrative, it also showcases some huge new moments.
We’re going to get into some spoilers here, so if you really want to stay away from this kind of thing, now would be a good time to be quiet!

Not only does the trailer show off some moments of Zack (who would have been dead at this point in the original story) chatting with characters like Aerith and Sephiroth, but the last shot in particular seems to hint at a major twist with one of the game’s more devastating ones Departure. time. It’s a trailer filled with death flags, but considering everyone who played the original should know what’s going on, this might as well be a major falsehood.
The tricky thing is, this kind of trailer is exactly what most fans want. It’s a shocker that has us eager to guess, while taking us through some of the hottest content in gaming. It’s just that at the same time, regular people who want to witness these narrative bombs firsthand might lose that in the process. Balancing marketing hype is a tricky task.
