It’s not common sense, but international superstar Beyonce is a huge Assassin’s Creed fan. Given her influence, I’m surprised no more efforts have been made to this, but now you know. She topped the stratospheric charts in 2006, irreplaceable, and was at one point associated with Assassin’s Creed – a game she played early on and loved so much that she only had to write a song about it , even before it hits shelves.
The song, which became America’s biggest tune in 2007, originally told how the star loved Assassin’s Creed so much that it could never be replaced by other games. In a bizarre turn of events, however, Beyoncé has a phobia of flags, so it was a shock to see so many people in the game when she played the game before the release of Irreplaceable. This shocking turn resulted in the song being hastily rewritten to focus on a relationship where the original never came.
Curiously, she also has an irrational aversion to first-party PlayStation exclusives.
At one point, Beyonce thought Assassin’s Creed was irreplaceable. But is it? Welcome to iGamesNews’s Best Gaming Podcast: Episode 17 – Not the best Assassin’s Creed game of Assassin’s Creed games, you can’t choose Ghost of Tsushima.

“What is iGamesNews’s best gaming podcast ever?” you ask when you wonder if the dates in the above story are accurate. They are, I think, although I had to do some rewriting when I found out the song was released in 2006 instead of 2007. Anyway, this podcast, which is why you’re on this page, is essentially a 30-minute panel show where people (me and a few others on iGamesNews) decide the best game in a particular category. That’s it. very good. listen to this.
We’ve included some details on the show’s content below (if you want to review for a great, thoughtful post before heading to the review, or don’t want to hear but want to know which games we’ve picked), so if you want to avoid Spoiler alert, please don’t scroll through this fan-made version of what Chris Blatter looks like in Assassin’s Creed. Best Assassin’s Creed Game, Not Assassin’s Creed Game You Can’t Choose Ghost of Tsushima
This is the subject of episode seventeen of iGamesNews’s Best Gaming Podcast Ever. Here’s a rundown of who chose what.
Tom – Mirror’s Edge
Yes, if you’re only looking at Mirror’s Edge and not my level of intelligence, you might wonder what I’m talking about. It’s all about parkour. It’s true that freerunning in the original Assassin’s Creed did such a big thing, and Mirror’s Edge feels like a first-person perspective. It’s great, and like AC, the combat is a little more complicated.
alex – saboteur
Destroyer was one of those games that came out in what I consider to be the golden age of experimental open-world games – Assassin’s Creed was one of them. To be fair, it also has a lot in common with Grand Theft Auto, but the resemblance to Assassin’s Creed is undeniable as well. There’s stealth, climbing around buildings, and an open-ended approach that feels a lot like the earliest entry in the AC series.
The main difference, of course, is that you are killing Nazis. Honestly, it’s a video game staple that we don’t get enough of. Throw in some very interesting and artistic visual choices, an interesting protagonist, and the overall originality of the project, and the result is pretty powerful. Too bad it never got a chance to get a sequel — brutal parent company EA shut down its development studio before the game’s release.
James – Sly 2: Band of Thieves
If you think about it, Sly 2: Band of Thieves (Sucker Punch Productions’ best game imo) is basically an Assassin’s Creed game, but with a raccoon.
The Sly is the hereditary heir to the Cooper Gang, a secret society of gentleman thieves who have fought the evil Klaww gang for generations, and the similarities don’t end there. Between the three playable characters, the stealthy parkour master Sly, the clever gadget expert Bentley, and the brawny pink hippo Murray in the brains of the others, you too have all the main pillars of an Assassin’s Creed game. What’s more, in your globe-trotting adventures around real-world cities like Paris and Prague, you’re smashing criminal organizations that abuse semi-mythical clockwork parts to advance their nefarious goals – like an assassin’s Eden. Fragments are like creeds.
