I think one of the things about Super Mario Bros. The Movie that we most wanted to discover, and at the same time scared us the most, was what voice Chris Pratt was going to put on when he got into the virtual skin of Mario. Beyond personal tastes, I think no one was impressed.
Following in the footsteps of those who dub it in other countries, I have seen the trailer in English, in Spanish, in Italian… And no dubbing of super mario bros movie
With an endearing nod to Mario’s voice that for years has been perpetrated by Charles Martinet, the work of Pierre Tessier -regular voice of videogames, voice of Ryan Reynolds in France, and with a long history in the world of animation both in terms of series and movies- is the who seems to have better understood what we all had in mind.
It remains to be seen how far this mix of styles goes that, a priori, Martinet will also contribute on the voice of Chris Pratt or, in our case, the dubbing of Guillermo Romero, who also comes from doing an excellent job in Multiversus.
maybe the little trailer seen so far does not give for much more, we will have to see what opinion we maintain in the following, but so far, that final scream in the French trailer of Super Mario Bros The Movie is the only one that has managed to become music to my ears.
