Ubisoft is still serious about releasing its own titles on Steam after a long break. After Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, another open world adventure will follow soon.
Since 2019, Ubisoft has not published any PC games on Steam, but is limited to the in-house Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store. Recently, however, the break has come to an end and the publisher is slowly feeding Steam with games again, well aware of the fact that Steam is attracting more and more players. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla was released on Steam just a few days ago and is available at hefty discounts until December 22nd.
After the announced Anno 1800 and Roller Champions, the next open world game from Ubisoft is now appearing on Steam. This is the extremely charming action-adventure Immortals: Fenyx Rising, which was released at the end of 2020 and has strong Zelda vibes.
According to the new Store page on Steam the game will be available as a Gold Edition, which includes the Season Pass and thus three DLCs and additional digital content. A price and a date have not yet been named, so far only a “coming soon” and the option to put the game on the wish list are available.
In the game, you take on the role of Fenyx and, winged and semi-divine, embark on a quest to save the Greek gods and rid their homeland of a dark curse. You can find more details in our review of Immortals: Fenyx Rising, in which colleague Brown was very impressed: “In all other respects, Immortals: Fenyx Rising hits the sweet spot and is one of the best open-world games of recent years. With this game, any quarantine can be endured, no matter how long it may be!”
