Bad news, fun things fans, the mysterious new IP being worked on by The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 studio CD Projekt doesn’t look to be a cosmic horror game set in feudal Japan. It’s a very specific option to rule out, but that’s exactly what co-CEO Micha Strok believes. Nowakovsky did it.
Although the sequel to “Cyberpunk 2077” (codenamed “Project Orion”) has caused some heated discussions recently, CD Projekt officially admitted that the development of the game has started and shared the details of some new members of the development team. In response to some fan speculation about what Hadar might be involved in – via a tweet that happened to mention cosmic horror and feudal Japan as separate ideas – CD Projekt Michał Nowakovskiy dismissed putting the two things in some way way to weld ideas together. “[I] can only tell [you] This is definitely not a feudal Japan cosmic horror ;),” he said, adding: “The time will come when we reveal the secret. don’t worry. “
As that winky face suggests, Nowakovsky is definitely making fun of others with his tweets. “I’d say everything outside of the rather specific, somewhat weird realm of ‘feudal Japan’s cosmic horror’ is an option,” he cheekily replied to a fan asking to know what Hadar might be.

The co-CEO also admitted that the idea keeps popping up in his mind, even if it’s not a new IP for his studio. So what is the Hadar plan? Well, we still don’t have any clues, other than to say that this is one of the many projects CD Projekt is currently working on, as a major announcement in October 2022 revealed.
To be fair, between The Witcher 4, the Cyberpunk sequel I mentioned, and everything else mentioned in this announcement, the one thing you can’t accuse CD Projekt of is not giving us something worthwhile Something to look forward to, even though it’s still a work in progress and it’s being vague on a lot of the details.
