Gothic is without a doubt a piece of Europe video game history and it is not without reason that it is held in the hearts of many fans. A remake of the role-playing classic is now in the starting blocks and although our first impression is very positive, one popular detail seems to be missing from the new interpretation: an appearance by the medieval rock band In Extremo.
At least for now. Because A petition was started via Change.orgwhich is intended to ensure that the virtual appearance still takes place.
Mr. Manly, Mr. Manly
What’s it about? In the original Gothic, you can see a performance by In Extremo in the old camp at the beginning of the second act, where they perform the song Mr. Manly
However, according to current information, this unique event will not take place in the highly anticipated remake.

A petition wants to change that. It was started by Michael Krogmann, also known as Krogi from Rocket Beans TV. associated petition page he writes:
This iconic moment not only drew us deep into the atmosphere of the game at the time, but also showed us how music, storytelling and gameplay can work together seamlessly. In Extremo in the Old Camp is not only a tribute to the fantastic world of Gothic, but a significant part of our gaming culture.
With the remake of Gothic, we have the chance to relive these magical moments. But what would a Gothic remake be without the legendary performance of In Extremo? This piece of video game history must not be lost!
