The first patch for Riot's new shooter Valorant is here. As the Patch notes for update 0.47+ the beta phase betrayed is an unexpected feature of the big winner: the melee attacks of your agents.
In addition, Raze gets a much needed nerf and Sage is also toned down.
Melee attacks are now stronger
The attacks with your knife are now judging double damage to destructible objects at. This includes the barrier from Sage and the double doors on the Map Haven. Riot justifies the change by saying that Sage's barrier orb in particular was too strong and there was little opportunity to counter it in the early phases of the game.
From now on it should be more profitable to be able to interact with your wall and destroy it, regardless of the loadout you have, according to the "high risk, high reward" principle. The damage to enemy agents is not affected.
By the way: If you want to embellish your melee weapon – there are currently a total of four knife skins in the Valorant shop. However, these coincide with each 3550 Valorant Points (around 33 euros) quite expensive.
Sage & Raze: Nerfs for two agents
The strongest agent so far Raze, the blaster, is weakened with patch 0.47+. She now only has one color bomb instead of two. There is also a new reset system: in order for the ability's cooldown to be reset, the Raze player must first do two kills. There are also adjustments to the sounds that their skills generate so that their opponents have a fair chance to respond to them.
Also Agent Sage, the healer, gets a nerf – which, however, turns out to be less drastic. Melee attacks now destroy your barrier twice as fast, and enemies can now walk silently through their slowdown orb. For this, the enemies are now also slowed down when they jump through the effective zone.

Other changes in patch 0.47+
We have already reported about a serious bug that turned Cypher's actually harmless camera into a deadly battle tower. After the current update, it is now a thing of the past. Furthermore, improvements were made to the stability and minor bugs were fixed. The complete patch notes can be found on page 2.
Not a bug, but a feature: The pretty nasty wallbanging in Valorant gets on the nerves of many players.
