Path of Exile: The Action RPG gets even more talent trees!
The season mechanics are impressive this time: As if the huge talent tree wasn’t enough, weapons now also have their own skill trees. These trees provide bonuses to enhance or expand your character’s playstyle.
The talents in the trees require experience from Crucible encounters to unlock. In these battles, you first select a weapon that you combine with an ancient forge to improve it.
As you channel your weapons, melted monsters will spawn, appropriate to the Forge setting, which can combine to create larger and more fearsome foes. The encounters are divided into several waves. With each wave you get more experience points for your weapon, but the risk of dying and losing the accumulated progress also increases.
For real professionals, the Titan Forge is a new area in the endgame that makes it possible to combine several talent trees on one weapon – that’s how weapons from unimagined power
develop.
What else is happening? As always, alongside the new season mechanic, there is also many more changes
- Atlas Gateways: These nodes provide instant traversal between two points in the Atlas talent tree, reducing the number of travel points required and allowing you to focus on specific areas in the tree.
- Breach/Abyss: The mechanics of the two older leagues that you can meet again in the endgame have been revised.
- Masters: Around half of all masteries have been revised, so that the previously dominant builds are properly shaken up.
We think: Path of Exile is awesome in many ways and more than just a pastime to bridge the wait until Diablo 4. Will you also play in the new season? Or are you currently spending your time with the award-winning Last Epoch? Write it to us in the comlie!
