Tweet from developer Cellar Door Games announced that Rogue Legacy 2 is under development.
The basement door game starts to tease first Rogue Legacy 2 On April Fools' Day, many people wondered whether this was a joke.
But according to the announcement tweet and Steam Store page, this is not the case.

Like its predecessor, Rogue Legacy 2 is a rogue elite with functions such as random operation and changing roles. The description says that running in the game is optional, and if you play well, you can "deep into the rapidly changing world."
The following is a curated list extracted from the Steam page:
- Program-generated adventure. The entire kingdom changes as life changes, so no two operations are the same.
- Mild rogue. Build a manor, improve the heritage, and make every child stronger than the last child. The game can be played to level 1, but this does not mean that it must be defeated.
- Universal health care. Every child is unique. Some people may suffer from synesthesia, some may be pacifists, and some may be a little fat. Through the power of socialism, more destructive features of gameplay can now provide gold rewards.
- The castle is permanent. The boss lingered.
- Now, each class has many unique weapons and equipment. Use the agile ranger to lower the enemy with a bow, or use the barbarian to stand up with a huge tomahawk.
- Stack runes. Runes can now be superimposed to infinity. This will take a while, but if you want to get a five-point jump, blood-sucking and speeding, you can.
- And there are more.
It is planned to be released sometime this summer.
The original 2D rogue-like platform game console was released on PC in 2013 and then ported to PlayStation 3, PS4 and Vita the following year. It was released for Xbox One in 2015.
