After the actor of main character Indiana Jones in the new video game was recently announced, it is now clear who will voice and embody the antagonist Emmerich Voss.
Last week, MachineGames, Bethesda and Micros oft finally presented the promising Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in more detail. The protagonist Indiana Jones himself is not played by Harrison Ford, but rather by a real veteran of the video game industry: Troy Baker. It is now clear who is responsible for portraying Indy’s opponent Emmerich Voss.
The antagonist and Nazi representative Emmerich Voss is embodied and voiced by Marios Gavrilis. Gravrilis himself has now confirmed this via his Twitter account.
As Jerk Gustafsson, Lead Game Designer at MachineGames, explained, Voss’s inspiration in the game is primarily to uncover the great mysteries of the world. So he’s basically supposed to have character traits that aren’t all that dissimilar to those of Indiana Jones. However, Jones and Voss pursue completely different paths and starting points in pursuing their goals. Voss, as a Nazi scientist, makes a lot of use of fear and pain, for example.
Gravrilis is supposed to bring these character traits to life. This actor also has experience in the video game sector, although not quite as extensively as Troy Baker, who you also know as Joel in The Last of Us, for example. Gavrilis, on the other hand, is the German voice of Sam Porter Bridges in Death Stranding, Alexios in Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and Dani Rojas in Far Cry 6.
In addition to Baker and Gavrilis as actors, some of the locations that you will see in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle have also been confirmed. These include Vatican City, the Sukhothai Temples in Thailand, the Himalayas and the Pyramids of Giza.
