The theatrical release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate marks a full stop in the story of the legendary bounty hunter. Harrison Ford, who has played the character for 40 years, says goodbye at the age of 80. And he will be 81 years old on July 13.
It could be said that 40 years playing Indiana Jones (thanks to his role as Han Solo) have given a lot. The saga has 5 films: Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), The Temple of Doom (1984), The Last Crusade (1989), The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) and the Dial of Fate (2023). And it’s no exaggeration to say that some have cost Ford years of life and health.
Filming Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harrison Ford suffered an accident during the scene of the fight against the German next to the plane. He tore his ACL when the landing gear hit/ran over him (unclear) while he was fighting the mechanic. This wound was added to many other minor ones that forced him to take some time to recover.
