What a surprise: A new game about the legendary archaeologist Indiana Jones is in the making – and with a well-known developer.
It really came out of nowhere: a new Indiana Jones game is in the works. A first, very brief teaser announces the project on Twitter. The LucasFilm Games label is also involved in the game, the establishment of which was also announced today.
Said Twitter post comes from the developers of the next Indy game: the Swedish studio MachineGames. These recently made a name for themselves primarily through their Wolfenstein games. In which genre Dr. Jones is open to his next adventure. However, it is meant to tell a whole new story that shows the explorer and adventurer at the height of his career. The executive producer is Todd Howard, who is best known for his work on the Fallout series.
The last game with the legendary archaeologist played by Harrison Ford in the cinema was released in 2009 with LEGO Indiana Jones 2. The next appearance will be a while in coming, but it’s nice to know that the brand is being revived. At the end there is of course the first teaser:
