The animated film Injustice Gods Among Us is taking shape. We now know the actors who will voice Superman, Batman and other characters from the DC Comics universe in this adaptation of the game developed by NetherRealm Studios.
Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, this animated film is inspired by both the 2013 fighting game and the comics Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One directed by Tom Taylor. The story takes place in an alternate reality in which the Joker holds Superman captive kill his wife Lois Lane before he dies Destruction of Metropolis. Five years after this tragedy, the Man of Steel established a regime of terror and forced the other superheroes, led by Batman, to band together to stop him.
Produced by Rick Morales (Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge), directed by Matt Peters (Justice League Dark) and scripted by Ernie Altbacker (Batman: Hush), the project today unveils its expanded cast in the columns of The Hollywood Reporter. This is Justin Hartley (Green Arrow in Smallville, Kevin Pearson in This is Us), who was cast for the role of Superman.
