For this first meeting, we spoke with Célia Hodent, doctor of psychology, with more than 10 years of experience in the sector. Since 2008 and her arrival at Ubisoft she was able to officiate in the field of UX (user experience) on licenses like Rainbow Six, before taking a tour at Lucas Arts for Star Wars 1313 (which will never see the light of day), then to launch at Epic on the beginnings of a game which will become large: Fortnite.

Feature: The inspiring women of video games in France

This interview is part of a series. In all, nine interviews will be broadcast one by one, each Sunday at 4 p.m. They were recorded between the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. From next Sunday, they will be added in turn to the file: The inspiring women of video games in France

Erratum: Célia Hodent tells us that Darren Sugg was the creative director at Epic Games, not artistic director as said in the video (role held by Pete Ellis)

Today, Célia works independently, participates in conferences and writes books, with the publication on June 10 of In the gamer's brain – Neurosciences and UX in game design. Here she tells us about her story, her profession that few still understand today, but also her general vision on video games as media.

Editor's note: This interview was recorded in December 2019, in Helsinki during the Slush Festival
