After the action-loaded final of the third season, fans of the Superhero series Invincible can look forward to seeing reunion in 2026. This has now confirmed the official X account (formerly Twitter) of the series-and provided a few exciting information about the next season. Among them: the occupation of the next big villain and a storyline that is not in the comics.
Thragg comes – the most dangerous viltrumit ever
The announcement is short, but meaningful. Season 4 of Invincible will be released in 2026 and thus continues the positive trend of shorter waiting times. While fans had to endure between season 1 and 2 for over two years, the break between season 2 and 3 was only around a year – and that is exactly what should stay that way now.

However, the greatest unveiling concerns the occupation of Thragg, the leader of the Viltrum empire. Anyone who will embody the overpowering opponent has not yet been revealed, but alone shows his announcement: the situation for Mark Grayson alias Invincible is still dramatic.
After the brutal duel with Conquest, which caused some of the most intense (and most difficult to digest) scenes in the series in season 3, the next showdown is imminent – with an opponent who even puts in the shade.

Damien Darkblood is back – with a completely new story
But not only in the villains, season 4 puts a shovel on it. Fan favorite Damien Darkblood, the demonic detective with Hellboy-Vibes, also returns-with a story that was completely new to the series.
In this way, Invincible ventures away from the comic template for the first time and goes its own way in the story. What exactly Darkblood's new role is still remains a secret, but the post-credit scene from the season 3 final should be a clear indication.
The good news for everyone who is waiting impatiently for replenishment: The voice recordings for season 4 have also already been completed. Even if the exact release date has not yet been mentioned, everything indicates that production is on the right track. This should actually be sure of new episodes in 2026-and with it a reunion with Mark, Omni-Man, Atom Eve and the rest.
