  • Apple mainly presented software at the WWDC.
  • iOS, WatchOS, iPadOS and macOS will receive an update in the fall
  • New hardware was also presented in the form of two MacBooks.

MacOS, iPadOS, watchOS and iOS – Apple gave a preview of the next versions of its operating systems for Mac, iPad, Apple Watch and iPhone at its WWDC developer conference. The manufacturer from Cupertino took a lot of time, especially for iOS 16.

The iPhone OS will offer a completely renewed lock screen, on which you can even interact with widgets. There are also countless improvements in apps such as iMessage or Apple Maps. However, fewer iPhones than expected will receive the update.

The chip, manufactured using the 5-nanometer process, is said to offer 18 percent more CPU power than its predecessor, while the graphics unit and neural engine are said to work 35 and 40 percent faster, respectively.

More Announcements

The first public test versions of WatchOS 9, iOS 16, iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura will be released in the coming month. Here’s how to sign up for the public beta. The systems should then be available as a free update in autumn.
