Apple is apparently planning major changes for the iPhone 15. The manufacturer should change the volume buttons and for the first time also delete the mute switch.
- Apple is already working on the upcoming iPhone 15. Rumor has it that some of the design will change.
- Supposedly, the two volume buttons become a rocker.
- In addition, the silent slider is to be exchanged for a push button for the first time.
It won’t be long before we’ll see the next iPhone. In September, Apple is supposed to introduce the iPhone 15, and there are already many rumors. Most recently, there was talk of major design changes for the new model, which also included the new sensor keys with haptic feedback.
Right here lays 9to5Mac now and takes a closer look at the physical buttons. According to reports, Apple should first say goodbye to the two separate volume buttons and rely on a volume rocker, i.e. a long, continuous button. The design would thus be based on the first iPhones, before Apple sat on two separate buttons with the iPhone 4.
For the first time in iPhone history, however, the silent slider could give way and that would be a real novelty. Instead of the slide switch, a single push button should be used, which can be used to activate or deactivate the silent mode.
Die-hard Apple fans could be annoyed, because the mute switch hasn’t changed since 2007 and has grown dear to many users.
